The only problem? Angel is still locked inside a box at the bottom of the ocean. Faith is released from prison with an address to the Magic Box and a bus ticket to Sunnydale. In Sunnydale, Willow has left town as a result of the events of Grave, Buffy begins to train Dawn, and Anya and Giles work on rebuilding the Magic Box. On top of this, an unknown enemy plots to kill Buffy, Spike, and the rest of the Scooby Gang and take over the Hellmouth.

Willow and the Fang Gang work to restore Spike using the same ritual Wolfram & Hart did to bring Darla back in the Angel series. As a human again, with a few perks, Spike and Buffy make their plans for futures neither of them had ever dared dream of for themselves.
