Ms. Karin Lenzhofer is a PhD candidate in Media Studies at the University of Klagenfurt. She completed her masters degree with Honors in English and American Studies in 2002. Her thesis explores the boom of female role models in popular culture and their significance for the construction of femininity and feminine identities together with female fantasies especially as regards popular television series (which all of course includes Buffy). She also teaches a course on psychoanalysis and popular culture.
