Dream number one - Spike's dreams from "Out of my Mind":
The backstory: Buffy, Spike, Harmony and Riley have a showdown and Buffy tells Spike that she will kill him. Spike in turn tells Harmony that Buffy is haunting him and the only way to get rid of that haunting is to kill her.
The dream: Line by Line analysis.
Cut to Spike's crypt. Spike is sleeping in his chair. Banging noises. Spike opens his eyes and gets up as the door flies open and Buffy walks in.
Spike: Should have known it's you. Been nearly six hours.
Spike always believes that Buffy is on his back ("Everywhere I turn, she's there.") So he's surprised she's only waited six hours to beat him down.
Buffy: Well, it would've been less if I wasn't busy cleaning up your mess.
Buffy believes Spike is incapable of doing anything properly, she is referring to the doctor at the initiative which spike tried to make remove his chip.
Spike: *My* mess? I just *borrowed* the doc. The mess is yours, Slayer. Yours and the boy's.
The Boy refers to Riley and Spike's believing the doctor was there for anyone to use. He rebuff's that the mess is his own leaving Buffy to deal with "her mess".
Buffy: I'm done. She takes a stake from her back pocket and walks toward Spike. He looks surprised.
Buffy also comments that she is "done". Done as Buffy has never killed Spike only talked about it, and feels that it wouldn't be fair to kill something with a chip in his head.
Buffy: Spike, you're a killer. And I shoulda done this *years* ago.

Again Buffy refers to how she should of killed him when she had the chance to in the past. Spike looks up definitely, knowing that she will and he isn't scared.
Spike looks her in the eye. Defiant.
Spike: You know what? Do it. Bloody just do it.
Buffy: What?
Spike: End ... my ... torment. Seeing you, every day, everywhere I go, every time I turn around. Take me ... out of a world ... that has you in it! (Yanks off his shirt and throws it aside) Just kill me!
In Fact, He wants to be staked. He is so sick of Buffy treating him like crap and he being beat down that he would prefer to not be in the world with her in it. Buffy stares at him, then raises her stake and lunges. Spike winces, but she stops at the last minute. They stare into each other's eyes.
Suddenly Spike grabs Buffy by the upper arms and kisses her passionately. She returns the kiss. It goes on for a moment and then Buffy pulls back with a little noise of dismay, bringing her hand to her mouth. She stares at Spike and he stares back, both panting. The stake is gone from her hand.
Slowly Buffy drops her hand from her mouth and walks back to Spike, putting both her hands to the back of his head and pulling him down toward her. They kiss again, very passionate. Spike brings his hands up to clutch her back, kissing her cheek and the side of her neck.

Buffy: (panting) Spike ... I want you.
Spike: (muffled against her neck) Buffy, I love you.
He pulls back. Close-up of Buffy staring at him.
Spike: (OS) God, I love you so much.
Cut to Spike sitting up in bed with a gasp.
He realizes the truth. Shot of Harmony sleeping in the bed next to him.
Shot of Spike sitting up in the bed, looking horrified, while Harmony continues to sleep.
Spike: Oh, god, no.

Close-up of Spike's face.
Denial. Denial. Denial.
Spike: Please, no.
Realization
Buffy's Dream - "Dead Things":
The backstory: Buffy believes she has killed someone, and has just gone to bed with the realization on her mind.
Buffy turns over restlessly, lying on her side facing the edge of the bed.
SPIKE: (O.S.) It's all right, luv.
Spike appears behind her, sliding under the covers, naked. He moves up behind her. Buffy opens her eyes, frowns.
SPIKE: Shh, it's all right. It'll be our little secret.
Spike kisses her bare shoulder. Buffy turns to face him, grabs his head and kisses him passionately. She rolls him over so that she's on top of him.
Buffy needs Spike to reassure her and we get this beautiful little dream sequence of her reaching out to him and kissing him!
Why both dreams are influential on Buffy and Spike's relationship:
"Out of my Mind" is perhaps the most important dream in Buffy history. It not only proves to the audience that Spike loves Buffy (something which has been thought of before) but it also makes Spike realize that he loves this girl and he will not run, not hide, and face up to it. Which he does and does well.
Buffy's dream proves how much she is reaching out to Spike in times of need and about how their relationship is one of comfort, and security. It is also proving the depth of her feelings for Spike and how much she is falling deeper into a sexual relationship with him. He is also in her bed, which she has never allowed someone (except for Riley) in before.
