This is actually my first real post here, I've been lurking for a looooonnnnngg time! :) But I have several poems, and I thought maybe I'd give it a try and send it to you guys. Let me know what you think ok? Thanks!

Why?
Why must I love you as much as I do?

Why?
Why does my heart remain true, only to you?

Nothing could stop us, our hearts beat as one.
Together we were powerful,
Nothing could hurt us, not even the sun.

What happened to us, to make that passion change?
What event made our lives spin out of range?

The way you made me feel,
Just when I thought it couldn't be real,
Was a way I wanted to feel forever more.

When I looked at you, that one last time,
Your true feelings came through, and I took it as a sign.

Those eyes so full of love when they looked at me,
Have turned to eyes of hatred like a storm while at sea.

Those lips that once smiled only for me, is no longer there,
You show no emotion, if you do, it is rare.

We must go, it is time to leave,
Just remember I will always love you, As you have loved me.

It's time to move on with my life,
Time to move on from this pain and this strife.

I will never forget you, I never could.
I will never find another, even though you think I should.

Your voice, your skin, your hair.
You are my drug, My craving for you will always be there.

I know, we must be strong, we must fight to right the wrong.
Maybe when all evil ends, our paths shall cross once again.

I have one thing to ask,
I hope you will heed my plea,
It's just one small thing,
Please, save forever for me.
